The new AXON model is also one of the easiest winches on the market to install. The contactor is located inside the IP68 housing of the winch, so there are fewer wires to run and no contactor to mount. Warn calls the digital contactor and motor combination the Motactor. They claim it will increase reliability and life of the winch.

The WARN AXON winch models are all built to the highest standards with a solid powder coated frame and stainless steel hardware. We are also big fans of the new switch that is rubber coated and gives a more positive feeling to the user.
The new AXON winch is slightly larger than the older models as there is more inside the case. This can cause a small issue for some winch plates that were made really tight for fitment. On our 2019 Can-Am X3, we had to modify our aftermarket winch bumper to fit the AXON 45S. It was an easy mod with light welding and well worth it to be able to use such an awesome winch. Be sure to look at the specs and sizes of your bumper before you make the purchase. The 45S will have no issue being installed on the OEM Can-Am winch bumper.
Pur Polaris Turbo S 4 will use the WARM winch mounting bumper with the AXON 45RC. That model has a smaller bale and holds 27′ of 1/4″ Spydura Synthetic Rope. The standard Axon 45S holds 50′. The shorter amount of line is a small compromise for more pulling power in a smaller package. We plan to make up for the shorter rope capacity with more synthetic rope and straps in our recovery bag.
