We cannot stress enough how positive our experiences are with DragonFire Racing. DragonFire Racing goes so far above and beyond to ensure that their product arrives without damage and without the need to “make it work”. These Intrusion Bars were packaged in a box that was twice as large as others would send and completely filled with spray foam. UPS could have dropped it from an airplane into our driveway and these bars would not have been hurt. Beyond that, the threads around the powder coat were clean and there was no need for using a tap to clean them. The bolts were already inserted and these bars were truly ready to be installed. We install a lot of parts and this is rare! We purchased the DragonFire Race Pace Intrusion Bars from Summit Racing.
The powder coat on our intrusion bars is Can-Am Red, really orange, but it matches the machine perfectly. As far as quality, one would think these are OEM, but they far exceed the OEM quality that we pay much for from the dealership.
Installation of these bars only requires a 1/4″ and 7/32″ Allen wrench. One can easily have them installed in 15 minutes without hassle. The instructions give you information on how to make them work with a full windshield. They will work with factory roofs without modification.
Not only do these items look really good, but they also protect you from incoming items. For racing, they should protect you from a flying tire. On the trail, they are good for keeping out branches and other longer items. We cannot comment on how much strength they add to the cage. One would have to assume they add a good bit, but we have yet to test that and we hope never to be in that situation.
