Is the CRAFTSMAN V20 RP 20-Volt Brushless Variable Speed Keyless Jigsaw the BEST on the market? The answer to that is in the video! Spoiler alert, all this jigsaw is missing is dust collection, but in my opinion, I could forgo dust collection to use this saw due to the lack of vibration and the solid ergonimics.
The CRAFTSMAN V20 RP 20-Volt Brushless Variable Speed Keyless Jigsaw is a full-size tool and power is important to me in a large tool. This jigsaw brought the power and then some. The variable speed trigger was one of the most controllable that we have ever used. The dual LED lights made the cut path bright and easy to see in any lighting.
The CRAFTSMAN V20 RP 20-Volt Brushless Variable Speed Keyless Jigsaw allows you to toggle between 3 orbital settings. This gives you fast cutting through wood and other softer materials, but precise and smooth cuts through metal.
The beveling shoe pivots up to 45 degrees for angled cuts and has detents at 0, 22.5, and 45 degrees.
The CRAFTSMAN V20 RP 20-Volt Brushless Variable Speed Keyless Jigsaw has a tool-free blade release that is one of the best on the market. The blades remove easily and are very solid when in place. There is little to no chance of putting the blade in halfway. The system is very impressive and works well when dirty.
There is also a dust blower to keep your cut line visible. We did not touch on this much in the video because all the other features seemed to blow us away more than this item. The dust blower works great, it was just overshadowed by the vibration-free use and butter smooth variable speed trigger.
This is a must-have saw if you are in the CRAFTSMAN V20 line!
