RIDGID Tools have been quiet for some time and all of a sudden we get an explosion of news. Some good and some bad. Ridgid is discontinuing the OCTANE line of tools and batteries. For the most part, that line will be replaced with smaller and similar powered tools. However, the large Ridgid Octane Drill will not be replaced and we will drop from 1300-inch pounds to 800-inch pounds of torque in the new Ridgid drill. If you loved that power, buy one now!

The OCTANE batteries will be replaced with smaller Max Output batteries. The good news is that we will now have the LSA agreement on all batteries and accessories, even if they are not purchased within a kit. That is a HUGE step forward for many. Would love to hear your thoughts below!
