Many people enjoy working in their homes but do not enjoy paying the high cost for some of the tools needed. In this tool review, we go over a very popular and inexpensive 3-3/8″ flooring circular saw made by Hychika.
This saw costs around $50 on Amazon and will cut Wood, Soft Metal, Tile, and Plastic. For many DIY’ers, this saw is all they will need for flooring or bathroom renovations. It is important to understand how this saw works and how it will perform during these tasks, so we took the time to cut with each material and show you the safe way to make these cuts.
Safety is important and this saw has many safeties. You have a large button on the top of the circular saw to allow for the blade to drop below the shoe. This safety button is on top of the saw and the trigger is on the bottom. People with smaller hands might have trouble engaging both of these with one hand. Many will use two hands and that is very smart as it keeps both hands out of the path of the saw.
The performance of the saw is on par with many others. If you cut slow and let the blade work, your cuts will be cleaner than if you really push the saw.
For the price, this saw is reliable and will last for a long time if taken care of. It does have dust collection if you have the right size vacuum hose or the ability to use some tape to make it work with your vacuum.
