Maximize Your Stack: Hands-On Review of the New Milwaukee PACKOUT Corner Attachments

If you are heavily invested in the Milwaukee PACKOUT system, you know that the biggest battle on the job site is constantly fighting for internal real estate. Every time you need a tape measure, a specific fastener, or a fresh SAWZALL blade, it usually means unlatching a lid, lifting out a tray, and digging.

Milwaukee just fixed that.

They have officially released four brand-new exterior corner attachments designed to utilize the unused space on your rolling or large PACKOUT boxes. By locking directly onto the factory metal-reinforced corners, these attachments give you instant access to your most-used gear without adding unnecessary bulk to your truck or van.

In our latest video, we unboxed, installed, and stress-tested all four. Watch the full breakdown below, or read on for a quick overview of each new modification!

The Lineup: What’s New?

Each attachment comes with the necessary hardware and specific corner-mount brackets to lock down securely. Here is how they shake out:

1. Belt Clip Rack Attachment (48-22-8609)

  • Best for: Tape measures, impact drivers, drills, and knives.

  • The Verdict: If you’re tired of your tape measure rattling around at the bottom of a deep drawer, this is a must-have. The rack is heavily reinforced so it won’t bend out of shape when hanging a heavy high-torque impact.

2. 2-Bin Attachment (48-22-8610)

  • Best for: Bulk fasteners, wire nuts, or small hand tools.

  • The Verdict: Perfect for service calls. You can dump your go-to plumbing fittings or electrical wire nuts right on the outside of your main box for rapid-fire access.

3. Magnetic Bin Attachment (48-22-8611)

  • Best for: Loose screws, drivers, and bits.

  • The Verdict: This is a hidden gem. It features a transparent lid so you can verify what’s inside at a glance, and the internal magnetic base stops your loose bits and screws from scattering during transit.

4. Accessory Case Attachment (48-22-8612)

  • Best for: Reciprocating saw blades and multi-tool accessories.

  • The Verdict: It features a dedicated 12″ SAWZALL blade storage clip and internal divider tray. Keeping sharp cutting accessories isolated on the exterior prevents them from chewing up your softer gear inside the boxes.

Are They Worth the Investment?

The Quick Answer: Yes—but choose the ones that fit your trade.

What makes these attachments brilliant is that they don’t require you to drill holes or modify your existing PACKOUT setup. They utilize the factory metal corners perfectly, maintaining the system’s legendary IP65-rated weather seals on the main boxes. They feel incredibly rugged and swap out easily if your workflow changes from day to day.

However, if you constantly squeeze your pack into tight van shelving, you’ll want to map out which corners you put these on so you don’t catch them on truck frames or doors.
