Ryobi is saying that the company is expanding from the affordable DIY brand it started out as, but is that really true. In our experience, the new Ryobi One+ HP line, including the research and development within the United States, has been a complete dumpster fire. This includes howRyobi states the battery platform they built years and years ago is forward and backward compatible. This is all a half-baked marketing plan to sell you poorly made tools at a higher price. To top it off, Ridgid and Ryobi are sharing many tools to make things less expensive and they are pawning these off as a new improved line, while they drop the Octane Power Tools.
